Seeking a highly skilled and creative Executive Banquet Chef for a location in The Portsmouth NH area. Ideally someone with Forbes Rated or 4-Diamond -Banquet Chef Resort New England and elegant dining experience and to grow in a very stable work environment. RELOCATION PAID.
You will assist the culinary team with responsibilities for food prep in an entirely FROM SCRATCH KITCHEN and ensure the highest quality of food presentation. There are 4 kitchens including Pastry Shop.
We are looking for a Culinarian who is passionate about food, enjoys working as part of a team, and is eager to provide an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities of the Chefs:
1. Assist all kitchen operations, ensuring consistent high-quality food production, and sanitation.
2. Assist with developing innovative and exciting menus
3. Manage all aspects of kitchen including inventory, labor, and cost control.
4. Collaborate closely with the restaurant manager / banquet managers.
5. Collaborate with the Sales and Catering Mgr and interact with the clients + tastings.
Qualifications of the Chefs:
1. A minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Banquet Sous Chef or Banquet Chef high-quality high- volume fast-paced banquets.
2. Proven track record of showcasing creativity and culinary expertise.
3. Leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to help train new hires and be a motivating force for the culinary team.
4. Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, and procedures.
5. Culinary degree or equivalent experience is required.
Depending on elegant dining / banquet experience in a high volume fast-paced work place the salary will range between $110- $115K.
