Seeking a highly skilled Executive Director of Housekeeping for a beachfront location in The Portsmouth NH/Maine area. Ideally someone who understands Luxury Forbes or 4-Diamond experience.
Able to oversee a team of 50 in peak season – Visa knowledge is helpful.
RELOCATION PAID.
The Resort Director of Housekeeping will lead a team of 50 with the daily operations of the resort housekeeping, in-house laundry and common areas. Will be responsible for managing cleaning protocols, enforcing safety and sanitation standards, controlling department budgets, and overseeing staff training to ensure guests experience a consistently spotless and welcoming environment.

Core Responsibilities of the Resort Executive Director of Housekeeping:
• Staff Leadership & Development: Hire, train, and supervise housekeeping supervisors and floor staff. Conduct daily pre-shift meetings, manage performance, and handle scheduling based on occupancy forecasts.
• Quality Control: Establish comprehensive room inspection programs and regularly assess public spaces, back-of-house areas, and guest rooms to ensure they meet brand quality and hygiene standards.
• Budget & Inventory Management: Oversee the department’s operating budget, minimize waste, and track expenditures. Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate cleaning supplies, chemicals, linens, and equipment are always in stock.
• Guest & Resident Satisfaction: Actively monitor customer feedback, respond to complaints regarding housekeeping services, and implement action plans to consistently elevate service levels.
Qualifications of the Resort Executive Director of Housekeeping
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive housekeeping leadership experience, including at least 2 years in a Hotel Resort Director of Housekeeping role.
• Previous luxury resort, destination resort, or large hotel experience.
• Experience overseeing housekeeping operations and in-house laundry.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing departmental budgets, labor, forecasting, and expense control.
• Experience implementing Forbes or 4-Diamond quality assurance programs and productivity standards.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus.
• Depending upon experience package $125K.
