Senior Director of Sales & Marketing Theme Park/Water Park New Orleans Gulf of Mexico $230k Package Full Relocation

Job Overview:

Oversight for all ticket and group sales, marketing, marketing management team, campaigns, website, communications, and special events team at this Theme Amusement Park & Waterpark Resort. This role is responsible for driving attendance, revenue, and brand growth. Will oversee in-house marketing department and outsourced adv agency.
Oversee and develop both sales and marketing strategies to drive attendance, revenue, and customer satisfaction at a leading amusement theme & waterpark. This role involves leading a team to execute innovative marketing campaigns, conducting market research to identify growth opportunities, and building strong partnerships to expand the park’s presence. Responsibilities include overseeing market planning and management, creating and implementing marketing plans, and aligning sales initiatives with overall business goals. The director will also establish benchmarks and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and develop strategies to enhance branding and guest experience.

Job Description:

  • Oversee the development and execution of integrated marketing, sales, public relations, and special events initiatives that drive attendance, awareness, and revenue.
  • Coordinate and oversee relationships with creative agencies, contract vendors, and outside consultants supporting in-house marketing and design teams.
  • Strengthen relationships with internal business units, tenant partners, community leaders, tourism organizations.
  • Oversee annual sales and marketing budget planning and execution.
  • Monitor metrics, sales results, campaign effectiveness, and event outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, etc.
  • Minimum 7 years in a senior-level role overseeing sales and marketing within a hospitality, entertainment, or tourism business.

*MUST have both Wet and Dry Park Experience

  • Proficiency in Marketing and Marketing Management to design/implement campaigns.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities, with a focus on data-driven strategies
  • Foster corporate partnerships.
  • Proficiency in using marketing and CRM tools to track performance.
  • Experience coordinating relationships with creative agencies, marketing vendors, and public relations firms, including contract oversight and project management.
  • Proven experience managing large budgets and complex, multi-channel initiatives.
